We value:
- A diverse and welcoming environment that promotes equity and encourages black undergraduate students to explore their differences and build their sense of identity.
- An emphasis on black undergraduate students' mental, physical, and financial health through support programs and services that encourage safety, a healthy lifestyle, and black undergraduate student success.
- Broad lifelong learning that incorporates disciplinary and multidisciplinary knowledge that promotes development, an investigation of purpose, and involvement in both the public and private sectors.
- Collaboration and learning with all faculty and instructors, staff, and administrators on campus (as well as our external partners and across higher education broadly) utilizing best practices to promote and improve black undergraduate student learning and success on the UC Merced campus.
